A flagstone quarried from the west coast of Ireland will be reintroduced  to the U.K. landscape and domestic market after

80 years.                          

 

                                             

Moher flagstone is characterised by the tracks of a marine worm, which traversed the sediments, that formed the rock 350 million years ago.

The flagstone is typically black blue in colour, with some varieties of reddish hues; it has a textured surface, with high non slip properties.

 

The flagstone has a high silica content making it very hard with superb mechanical properties. The material is ideal for both indoor and outdoor paving and can be used in water features.

 

Moher flagstone was exported to England during the Victorian era and continued until the advent of the first war. During this period shipping the product was not safe and the quarries were closed.

 

More recently production has been restarted and we are now in a position to supply to the UK with full and part loads and the rest of europe with full loads.  

 

This is a unique flagstone and it's not available at garden centers. We will supply you directly, thus keeping the cost down and making the product available at a reasonable price.
